Bigger Better Business

Bigger and Better Business became the first national program of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. When Bigger and Better Business was adopted as a national program, special emphasis was placed on encouraging and promoting Negro businesses. At its inception, the program sought to encourage Negro businesses to improve their business acumen, efficiency and service to the public, to be competitive with other businesses.

The Iota Mu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. otherwise known as The Arlington Sigmas, are dedicated to establishing the work of our national fraternity in the support and promotion of Black Owned businesses. Below are the program goals and more.

Promote Black Businesses

Iota Mu Sigma is dedicated to promoting the existence of Black-Owned businesses and celebrating the services they are providing throughout the city of Arlington. Promotion via our website, social media, purchasing of goods, and live events allows for an increased chance for businesses to succeed.

Engage in Financial Literacy

Iota Mu Sigma believes that financial knowledge is key to healthy personal and business finances, Via this website and social media, Iota Mu Sigma shares financial knowledge and invites community members to join classes and events that support financial literacy.

Establish Strong Mentorship

Financial knowledge is something that we at Iota Mu Sigma believe the youth is not given enough. Thus, we work closely with Sigma First Initiatives to mentor youth on financial possibilities that cover a wide range of topics except investing.

Launching the Barnes Business Directory

Arlington Sigmas are launching the Barnes Business Directory for Black-Owned businesses in Arlington and Dallas areas. If you are a Black-Owned business or know of a Black-Owned in Arlington and/or Dallas, fill out the form below to have your business highlighted.
